A magnificent brand new bi-colour variety of sunflower! 'Tiger Eye' boasts compact plants that grow an abundance of flower heads which have showy burning bright blooms with golden-yellow petals and a unique deep-red ring around the disc floret.

Plants are capable of growing to 60cm tall in the garden and create an excellent display for up to eight weeks. 'Tiger Eye' is multi-stemmed, so plenty of flowers per plant! This variety is a magnet for bees and butterflies and it prefers full sun.

The sunflower seeds also make a delicious and nutritious snack!

Sowing Information

Sow the seed thinly 13mm ( 1?2") deep direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil where the plants are to flower, from late April-June. Germination usually takes 7-14 days. As the seedlings develop, thin them out gradually to achieve a final spacing of 30cm (12"). For early flowering sow in trays indoors in March/April, transfer into 9cm pots, grow on then acclimatise before planting outside where the plants are to flower, once the risk of frosts has disappeared.
