For flowering the same year sow Jan/Feb in trays or pots on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 18-20°C (65-68°F) onto a moist seed compost. Do not exclude light or allow to dry out. Germination 15-20 days. Transplant seedlings into trays 7.5cm (3") apart and grow on. Plant out about 30-45cm (12-18") apart for Aug/Sep flowering. Alternatively sow direct outside from March onwards, barely covering the seed and thinning in stages for flowering the following year.
