A brand new cosmos! Cosmos 'Xsenia' has one-of-a-kind terracotta orange petals edged with rose pink. In full sun, the petals appear bright pink and as the light fades in the evening (or on cloudy days) the orange tones seem to intensify like the setting sun. Flowers June-September. Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at 18-21ºC using a good quality compost. Cover the seeds with 6mm (½") of compost and keep moist. (Germination 7-14 days). Transplant seedlings into individual small pots and grow on. Acclimatise plants to outside conditions before planting out 40cm (16") apart in a sunny position. Can also be sown directly into the garden March-May for late summer flowering.
