Lavender is one of the most popular herbs and is grown for both its pleasantly scented leaves and its colourful flowers. Plants are tender perennials, growing into compact mounds 18-24" (45-60cm) tall with small gray leaves and lavender-coloured flower spikes. Use to perfume soaps, pillows, sachets, bath water, and in flower arrangements. Plant as a low hedge or edging.
