For early blooms sow indoors in March, one seed per 10cm (4") pot, 13mm ( 1?2") deep. Acclimatise plants to outside conditions, planting out, spacing as below. Alternatively sow outside April/May, 13mm (2") deep, into finely raked, moist, warm, weed-free soil where the plants are to flower. Thin seedlings to spacings given below. Space Tall Single and Autumn Beauty plants 30-45cm (12-18) apart against a sunny wall or at the back of a border. Space Irish Eyes, Paquito Mix and Teddy Bear plants 25-30cm (9-12") apart in borders or large containers. Grow in a well manured soil in a sunny position. If growing the dwarf varieties in containers, the final height will be influenced by the size of container used.
