This is a very popular and wonderful tasting winter or storage squash. The oblong, tang-skinned fruits grow about 8" (20cm) long and are bulbed at one end. The seed cavity is small, so there's lots of flesh with a sweet, nutty flavour. Excellent baked, steamed, or microwaved. Stores extremely well.
