This cabbage relative is grown for its globe shaped root with a creamy yellow colour and robust, sweet flavour. Roots grow 4-5" (10-12.5cm) across and have light amber skin with a purplish top. Best if timed for harvest during cool weather of fall and winter. Use in soups, stews, baked, and mashed. Roots store well.
