Sowing Information
Choose a sunny spot in the garden with weed-free soil. Dig and rake the soil to a fine crumbly surface. Using the corner of a hoe or rake draw a groove into moist soil. Gently separate tapes and roll out along the groove. Cover with 3cm (1¼") of soil and keep moist. Harvest alternate beetroots to allow space for some to mature. Harvest when your beetroots are golf ball-sized. If growing more than one row, allow 30cm (12") between rows.
For a constant supply of beetroot sow at two weekly intervals. Remember, you can cut the tape to suit row length.
