Dark red 15 cm (6") long cylindrical roots have a sweet, nicely coloured flesh and are perfectly shaped for slicing. Cylindra is an excellent storage beet
and is quite a favourite in the kitchen due to its ease of peeling! The roots are at their best when young. An early 1890's introduction.
